David Alexander Smith's Paintings and Drawings

My name is David Smith, I am an artist living in Sutton (Surrey) just outside London. I currently work for Goldsmiths University of London in the Drama Department, but continue to research and paint professionally. I graduated from the Liverpool School of Art in 1997 with a BA in Fine Art. In 1999 I completed an MA in Twentieth Century History of Art from Goldsmiths College, University of London. I then went on to acquire a second MA in Continental Philosophy at the University of Essex. Whilst my focus is now mainly levelled on philosophical themes, including Hamann's, Kant's, Nietzsche's, Heidegger's and Adorno's philosophies of art, I have continued to paint and draw. This website will act as a home for this work, which I feel deserves a place on the web. I hope you enjoy the work as much as I have enjoyed producing it.
